About the Position
Penuel-Charis Consultancy is seeking a highly motivated and self-driven Research Assistant to support the activities of the consultancy as part of our research team. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong interest in applied and academic research and will work closely with senior researchers to contribute to the delivery of high-quality, ethically grounded research outputs. The role involves supporting a range of research activities and contributing to projects that generate evidence to inform policy, programmes, and practice.
What You Will Do as Part of the Team
- Provide research and analytical support across assigned projects.
- Contribute to the production of high-quality, ethical, and timely research outputs.
- Support documentation, reporting, and team coordination activities.
- Assist with the management of research data and information in line with organisational standards.
- Provide general research and project support as required.
How You Qualify
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline; backgrounds in the social sciences, public health, business, statistics, or related fields are an advantage.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to engage effectively with research and evidence (Required).
- A strong interest in evidence-based research and professional development within a research environment (Required).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (Required).
- Familiarity with research and data analysis tools; experience with quantitative or qualitative analysis software is an added advantage (Required).
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities (Preferred).
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team-based research environment (Preferred).
