Mr Clinton Sekyere Frempong, the co-founder and Manager of PCC, is a Ghanaian academic researcher and public health advocate with over 10 years of engagement in public health research and more than five years of hands-on experience in advanced quantitative and qualitative methods. His work spans infectious diseases, maternal and child health, and the climate change-health nexus, with a strong focus on vulnerable populations in low- and middle-income countries. He has led and co-led three competitive research grants totalling over USD 40,000 and contributed to 9 peer-reviewed scientific publications in reputable journals. Clinton has applied diverse methodological approaches, including evidence synthesis, patient and public involvement (PPI), and community-engaged research, to generate policy-relevant and context-sensitive evidence. He is a 2025 Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene Early Career Research Grant Awardee. Clinton is the Co-Founder of Penuel Charis Consultancy Limited and serves as a Part-time Research Director at Thrive Maternal and Child Health Initiative.

His research focuses on unpacking pathways through which climate change drives infectious disease outbreaks and exacerbates health risks, particularly among women and children. He is currently involved in multicountry projects examining the intersections of climate change, infectious diseases, and mental health across Africa.

Patrick Addo is a PhD candidate at the University of Ghana School of Public Health with research interests in adolescent health, nutrition and physical activity, urban health, food environments and food systems, maternal and child health, and health systems strengthening. His work focuses on generating evidence to inform policies and interventions that improve population health outcomes, particularly among vulnerable populations in low- and middle-income countries.

Patrick has extensive experience in both qualitative and quantitative research and has contributed to several nationally significant health research projects in Ghana. These include the Community-Based Health Planning and Services Plus (CHPS+) Project, the Acute Care and Emergency Referral Systems Project, and the Community-led Responsive and Effective Urban Health Systems (CHORUS) Programme. His work has contributed to evidence generation, and policy discussions aimed at strengthening health systems and advancing universal health coverage.

Over the past two years, Patrick has successfully led or co-led competitive research grants valued at over USD 40,000. Most recently, he led the implementation of the Quality of Routine Health Data (QDAT) Project, which assessed the quality of routine health information and identified factors influencing data performance in urban poor communities in the La-Nkwantanang Madina and Ashaiman Municipalities of Ghana.

As a recipient of the Research Network for Design and Evaluation of Adolescent Health Interventions and Policies in Sub-Saharan Africa (DASH) PhD Scholarship, Patrick leads the implementation of an anaemia prevention intervention among young people in the Shai-Osudoku and Ningo-Prampram districts of Ghana. He also serves as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, supporting the teaching of Public Health Nutrition and Basic Food Concepts at the University of Ghana.

Patrick’s doctoral research examines how built environment characteristics influence dietary behaviours and the development of overweight and obesity among young people. Through his research, teaching, and leadership, he remains committed to advancing scientific evidence that supports healthier, more resilient, and sustainable communities, contributing to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals 3 and 11.

Samuel is a research assistant with the Penuel-Charis Consultancy.

He holds a BPH from the University of Health and Allied Sciences and currently a member of the Allied Health Professions Council. Samuel has worked with the Dodowa Health Research Center, the World Health Organization, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Japan International Cooperation Agency and the Ghana Health Service on several research projects. He employs both qualitative and quantitative research methods. 

His research interests are in the areas of Epidemiology, Infectious Diseases, Non-communicable Diseases, Communicable Diseases and Population Health. Mrs Belinda Frempong is a dedicated Registered and Licensed Dietitian with a deep passion for transforming health outcomes through evidence-based nutrition care, health education, and lifestyle modification.

Her work centers on delivering bespoke nutrition counselling and medical nutrition therapy to individuals navigating chronic conditions including diabetes, hypertension, kidney disease, obesity, and other nutrition-related disorders.

With hands-on experience across both clinical and community health settings, RD Belinda is committed to helping her clients achieve sustainable, meaningful health goals through nutrition interventions that are practical, culturally sensitive, and truly patient-centered. Within the healthcare system, she supports individuals with complex medical needs empowering them to make informed dietary decisions that elevate their quality of life every day.

Beyond her clinical practice she is currently advancing her expertise through a Master of Public Health (MPH) program, deepening her knowledge in disease prevention, health promotion, and population health. She is driven by the belief that nutrition science should be accessible to everyone and she makes it a mission to bridge that gap, making healthy eating realistic, inclusive, and sustainable for diverse communities.

Pervy Okai-Mensah is a Programs Manager at Penuel-Charis Consultancy Ltd, with professional experience spanning project management, strategic planning, operations, stakeholder engagement, and community engagement across health and research-focused initiatives, as well as corporate and entrepreneurial settings.

She is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and is currently pursuing postgraduate training in Public Health, with a strong interest in health systems strengthening, implementation research, and evidence-based program design.

Her research interests include health systems strengthening, implementation research, non-communicable diseases (NCDs), and community-based interventions in low- and middle-income settings.

She is passionate about designing and managing impactful programs that translate evidence into practical, scalable solutions for sustainable development and improved population health outcomes.

Adelaide Lotsu is a passionate Dietitian with a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics. At PCC, Adelaide is dedicated to promoting health and well-being through evidence-based nutrition care, nutrition education, and personalized dietary guidance.

Her professional interests lie in paediatric nutrition, renal nutrition, and sports nutrition, where she is driven by a desire to support individuals across different stages of life in achieving optimal health outcomes. Through nutrition counselling and practical dietary interventions, Adelaide supports clients make informed food choices that promote their growth, with special attention to disease prevention and management.

During her undergraduate research, Adelaide assessed the microbiota and mycotoxin contamination of cassava flour sold in the Volta Region of Ghana. This experience deepened her understanding of the critical role food safety plays in public health which strengthened her passion for improving nutrition and health outcomes through research.

Adelaide believes that nutrition is a powerful tool for disease prevention, health promotion, and quality of life enhancement. She is dedicated to empowering individuals and communities with the knowledge and skills needed to adopt sustainable healthy eating habits while achieving their nutrition goals.

Ruth Naa Ayele Djoleto is a detail-oriented and results-driven research and administrative professional at PCC with a duration of over 2 years. She possesses a strong background in public health (nutrition) with experience supporting data-driven projects in both virtual and in-person environments.

Proven ability to contribute to research activities including data collection, analysis support, literature review, and report writing, while ensuring accuracy and adherence to ethical standards. Highly skilled in administrative coordination, stakeholder engagement, and virtual team collaboration, with experience managing schedules, tracking deliverables, and facilitating remote trainings and meetings.
